Sure Clip

This hair clip is designed with both style and safety in mind, particularly for use in the car. Unlike traditional clips with sharp edges, the SURE CLIP features collapsible hinges with claws that face away from the head and flatten upon impact, reducing the risk of injury. The clip securely holds hair in place without pulling or tugging, ensuring comfort for extended wear across different hair types and thicknesses. Through prototyping and user testing, my team and I refined the form, balancing durability and aesthetic appeal. The final model would be made from High Consistency Rubber (HCR) silicone, which provides flexibility and impact resistance. This combination of thoughtful material choice and user-centered design results in a practical and stylish accessory that prioritizes both safety and everyday functionality.
